Major Achievements

·                     At many places, CSV attached toilets to the biogas digester thus making the night soil a source to produce methane gas that is used as cooking gas or to generate power to run devices.

 

·                     As a Technology Resource Centre of CAPART, New Delhi the CSV conducted 185 biogas masons training camps and trained 3, 200 masons in biogas plant construction and maintenance.

 

·                     As Regional Biogas Development and Training Centre (RBDTC) of the Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources (MNES), GoI, (from 1991 to 1996) CSV trained a total of 32,000 users mostly women in the repair and maintenance of biogas plants by organizing 500 user’s training camps.

 

·                     CSV has constructed, repaired and maintained around 50,000 biogas plants since year1990.

·                     Training on making of Vermi compost for 10 beneficiariessponsored by Deputy Conservator of Forest”, Akola Forest (Wild Life) Division, Akola (sanctioned Letter No. Uvasa./Yo./3420/2005-06/ dated 10-03-2006)

 

·                     As Regional Biogas & Development and Training Centre (RBTDC) sponsored by Ministry of Non-conventional Energy Sources (MNES), Govt. of India, CSV conducted extension program in 11 districts of Vidarbha region during 1990 to 1997.

 

·                     As Technology Resource Centre (TRC), of CAPART, New Delhi CSV conducted 300 biogas mason’s training camps and trained 5000 masons in biogas plant construction and maintenance. Trained a total of 32000 users mostly women in repair and maintenance of biogas plants by organizing 500 users training camps.

 

·                     Trained nearly 545 personnel from VOs and Govt. sector and entrepreneurs from 12 states of India through 66 training programs.

 

·                     Training women participants on sanitation in 33 villages of 33 districts of Maharashtra which received First Prize in “Sant Gadge Baba Gram Swachhawata Abhiyan”. Project sponsored by UNICEF Mumbai, in the coordination of Water supply & Sanitation Dept. Govt. of Maharashtra.
